The British Council – proud sponsors of the 2021 e-Assessment Association Award

The British Council is proud to sponsor the 2021 e-Assessment Association Awards. The awards programme is truly global in nature and reach, and we congratulate finalists from Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. The awards encompass all sectors of education from schools, through higher education to workplace training and professional exams, matching the remit of the British Council in delivering and administering 4.5 million exams internationally, both for our own high stakes IELTS and Aptis English language exams as well as on behalf of UK awarding organisations.

Sara Pierson, Director of Exams at the British Council, is delighted to announce the winner of the 2021 award for Best International Implementation on 22nd June, as part of the International e-Assessment Conference and Awards, which demonstrates the international nature of assessment and the huge advances made by those using technology to transform and enhance assessments worldwide.

This year, having also been shortlisted in the category of ‘Best Transformational Project’ for our work with ACCA on remotely invigilated exams, the British Council is excited to continue its ongoing partnership with the e-Assessment Association. Given the strong competition in this category we were delighted to be recognised for our work in providing ACCA with an agile, hybrid solution during the pandemic to deliver around 85,000 live remotely invigilated and 450,000 test centre exams since launch in September 2020.
