Eric Shepherd, Executive Director of Talent Transformation and former winner of the e-Assessment Association’s Lifetime Contribution Award, is the keynote speaker at the third event, New Frontiers of Assessment on Tuesday 22nd June starting at 3pm BST. Eric will present an insightful keynote to kickstart this event which includes the announcement of the Award winners of the Best International Implementation and Best Workplace or Talent Assessment Project.

About Eric Shepherd

Eric Shepherd is the Executive Director of Talent Transformation, an organization promoting best practices for staying relevant during these times of change. Talent Transformation helps individuals and organizations by providing articles, podcasts, and webcasts to inspire insights into the future of work, learning, and leadership.

Eric is an accomplished leader of international businesses and associations focused on talent, assessments, and success. Prior to his work with Talent Transformation, he worked to build a SaaS company into a multi-million-dollar international assessment software business. He is a recognized expert in the assessment field and the winner of the e-Assessments Association’s 2019 Lifetime Contribution Award. Eric has also led industry and standards initiatives to promote best practices for assessments, learning, and interoperability.

Eric currently serves on Boards of Advisors and as Chair of the IEEE P1484.20.2 working group developing Recommended Practice for Defining Competencies. And he serves on the PwC New World, New Skills Advisory Board facilitates conversations on the future-facing vision of skills, workforce transformation, EdTech, and industry trends.

Eric has previously served on Boards and working groups for:

  • HR Open Standards that define interoperability standards for HR technology.
  • Association of Test Publishers and the European Association of Test Publishers
  • The IEEE P1484.20.1 Standard for Learning Technology—Data Model for Reusable Competency Definitions working group.
  • IMS Global defining interoperability standards for educational technology.

Eric was instrumental in developing the IMS QTI interoperability standard and assisted with the US Department of Defense Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) initiative to define the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) and the Aviation.
