Interoperability has long been one of the most important and most complex challenges in digital assessment: authoring content once, delivering it anywhere, moving it freely between systems. It is a challenge we have been working on for over a decade.

Who We Are

Trifork is an enterprise software company with over 1,200 people across 16 countries. In education, that work centres on Assessible, a digital assessment platform trusted by leading institutions across Europe, handling over 7.5 million exams annually and up to 150,000 sessions per day at peak times.

Built on Open Standards

Assessible's Editor and Player are one of the first QTI 3.0 certified authoring and delivery platforms by 1EdTech. Content authored in Assessible is fully portable, exportable, and interoperable. Institutions retain full control of their content, and the freedom to move it as their needs evolve.

A Thoughtful Approach to AI

AI is opening up meaningful new possibilities in assessment, from item generation to automated scoring, and we are building carefully in that direction. Human review remains central, and qualified educators make the final call.

Proven Across Europe

In the Netherlands, we partnered with Cito to deliver the Doorstroomtoets, a national assessment built around accessible and inclusive exam delivery. In Switzerland, Mindsteps serves children aged 4 to 13 across several cantons, bridging classroom practice and high-stakes assessment. In Denmark, we supported the transition from paper to digital for driving theory testing. All three are stories we will be sharing in full in the coming months.
